Certified Recovery Residences provide stable, structured, safe, and healthy environments that support residents as they develop new skills to live a sustainable life. Following your interview, WVARR will schedule an on-site visit for each of the residences operated by your organization. Reviewers will be examining the recovery environment and ensuring the property and program meet the national quality standards. The National Alliance for Recovery Residences creates national quality standards for recovery houses. DMHA is basing most of the certification requirements and on-site inspection requirements on the most current NARR quality standards.
CCAPP Certified Recovery Residence Resources
Applicants have the right to submit a variance (exception) to a standard and to submit a grievance against the Reviewer or TROHN. NARR certification is a strength-based process, meaning you will have access to educational resources and the ability to update information within a reasonable time period, if a Reviewer determines that you do not meet a standard. All formal and informal grievances received will be considered when making certification determinations.
